So my blog has been rather quiet lately as I try to get 2017 off the ground. With motherhood, work, studying and a few more balls in the air – adulting is hard. But here I am, still alive and thought I would do a quick post of some of my favourite road trip photos. I worked straight through December in the hope of taking a road trip to Namibia in February which got cancelled, because, life. Now I look forward to a mini-break in Cape Town in March.
I am excited to enjoy a quieter Cape Town, with trips to the beach with my boys and maybe even a mini road trip to see the lighthouse at Cape Agulhas. I plan to eat lots of sushi, take long walks on the beach, swim, spend some time with our beloved family, and take lots of photos of my mountain.
A road trip is one of my favourite ways to get to a destination. You get to see the landscape, little towns and stop at quirky farm stalls. I grew up in a tiny diamond mining town in Namibia and we used to do lots of road trips to go visit family, to go camping and do shopping. I have fond memories of braaing under the stars and long endless roads flanked by the beautiful South African landscape.
I always factor in extra time in a road trip to stop and take photos – a lot of extra time, because South Africa just delivers one jaw-dropping landscape after another and I just HAVE to stop!

Let me know if there are any Instameets happening in Cape Town in the first 2 weeks of March – I would love to join and meet some new people.
