The thing I love about Travel Photography is that each experience is unique. Every landscape is different and every city has it’s own style. Without even thinking about it, I get drawn to certain things. I love photographing the South African landscape, plants, beaches and I am particularly fond of characterful buildings. There are certain things that attract my eye, and in the last two years, I have taken a lot of photos of Churches that I inadvertently started a mini collection of the Churches of the Western Cape.
I don’t know why. Maybe it’s the architecture. Or maybe it’s because every little town I go to has this huge and impressive building. A building that brings people together. I just love how each and every one of them is completely different.
I will be adding to this list as I continue to travel the small towns of South Africa. But here are some of my favourite Churches of the Western Cape. Let me know which ones I shouldn’t miss!

Are you drawn to the same types of things when you travel? Is it food, drink, architecture, people? Let me know in the comments.

13th Jan 2018 at 8:59 amI love to photograph landscapes and buildings as well (and I’ve been having a thing for mosques for the past 2-3 years for some reason…) because sometimes pictures *are* worth a thousand words and there are really beautiful places on Earth that need to be captured a bit more… Thanks for sharing these beautiful photos! || http://www.lorikemi.com
