A walk through the gardens at Babylonstoren

Take a walk through the gardens at Babylonstoren before settling in at one of their restaurants. This garden was inspired by the Company Gardens of the Cape and spans 3,5 hectares and every one of over 300 varieties of plants in the garden is edible. The garden provides fresh fruit and vegetables to the two restaurants on the farm: Babel and the Greenhouse Restaurant.

Babylonstoren offers a daily guided tour of the gardens leaving from the Farm Shop at 10am. You will be guided by one of their experienced gardeners and you will be encouraged to pick, taste, smell and touch while walking.

I particularly loved the aromas of herbs and citrus that welcomed me at every turn. Autumn in the wine lands are particularly beautiful, the colours are vibrant and make for beautiful photographs.Dominique-in-the-city-babylonstoren-48 Dominique-in-the-city-babylonstoren-49 Dominique-in-the-city-babylonstoren-51 Dominique-in-the-city-babylonstoren-52 Dominique-in-the-city-babylonstoren-53 Dominique-in-the-city-babylonstoren-54 Dominique-in-the-city-babylonstoren-55 Dominique-in-the-city-babylonstoren-56 Dominique-in-the-city-babylonstoren-93 Dominique-in-the-city-babylonstoren-95 Dominique-in-the-city-babylonstoren-96 Dominique-in-the-city-babylonstoren-99 Dominique-in-the-city-babylonstoren-101 Dominique-in-the-city-babylonstoren-103 Dominique-in-the-city-babylonstoren-105 Dominique-in-the-city-babylonstoren-106 Dominique-in-the-city-babylonstoren-110 Dominique-in-the-city-babylonstoren-109 Dominique-in-the-city-babylonstoren-107
