Maboneng Street Food Festival 2015

On Saturday, the 1st of August, I attended the first Maboneng Street Food Festival to be held in Johannesburg. It was hosted at the Hazard Gallery at Arts on Main in the Maboneng Precinct. The market was free and open to the public and served authentic street fare made with quality ingredients.

I particularly loved how this festival – along with inner-city markets like Market on MainNeighbourgoods and The Sheds @ 1Fox – bring people into the city.

DSK20150801-13 DSK20150801-14While the Street Food Festival is an annual event, you can visit Market on Main every Sunday for delicious food, beer, coffee and sweet treats, plus you can also browse galleries, fashion and home decor stalls.
