On our way to De Hoop Nature Reserve, we made a few stops, mostly to take photos of the scenery and every single church at every single little town we drove past. It was rather serendipitous when we drove through Napier and found the Napier Farm Stall because all of our tummies were rumbling.
I love farm stalls, and the quirkier the better. Napier Farm Stall was stocked with local jams, preserves, home-made fudge and biscuits. Their menu offers dishes like oxtail casserole, tomato bredie, curry and groenboontjie bredie with rice – real comfort food. They also have an amazing breakfast menu.
The farm stall is decorated with rusty pots and old bicycles and the best part, they have a tiny play area which is perfect for those travelling with children.
After a delicious pot of tea and a tasty toasted sarmie, we were all rejuvenated and ready to take on the rest of our road trip.
