It was a beautiful, crisp winters Monday when we boarded the Mirage Yacht at the V & A Waterfront. I was slightly apprehensive as I do have a tiny fear of the open water, and excited because I was looking forward to taking some photos of beautiful Cape Town from the Yacht.
The team on the Mirage welcomed us with bubbly and friendly smiles. We found a prime spot on top and settled in for a cruise of a lifetime.
Luckily, it was a calm day on the ocean, so my fears were unfounded and the crew mentioned that we should all be on the look out for whales as they were spotted earlier in the day. Sadly, no whales were spotted, but a pod of dolphins joined us for a few minutes, swimming on the sides of the Mirage.
The views were nothing but spectacular and I took hundreds of photos of the Mother City from this unique vantage point. Here are a few of my favourites:
